EasyCommerce v1.20 Released: Here’s What’s New

If you’ve noticed we’ve been quiet for the past couple of months, there’s a good reason. We weren’t gone. We were building.

Version 1.20 is the most significant update EasyCommerce has shipped since launch. We’ve added features that users have been requesting for a while, improved areas that were already working, and fixed things that were quietly bothering everyone.

Here’s a full breakdown of what’s new.

Free AI Credits for Everyone

This one is big.

Starting with v1.20, every free EasyCommerce user gets 100 AI credits, no credit card required. If you’ve been curious about the AI features but hadn’t committed to a paid plan, now you have no reason not to try them.

Pro users, you’re not left out either. Depending on your plan, you can now access up to 10,000 credits.

AI Image Enhancement

Product photography is one of the biggest friction points for small store owners. Not everyone has a studio setup or budget for a designer.

The new AI Image Enhancement feature lets you edit product images directly inside EasyCommerce. You can remove backgrounds, improve image quality, or apply style transformations, all powered by AI. It’s not a replacement for professional photography, but it closes the gap significantly for most use cases.

AI Analyst

The AI Analyst button now lives right in your dashboard header. One click and you get an AI-generated summary of your store performance, sales trends, and actionable insights.

Instead of digging through reports and connecting the dots yourself, you get a quick read on what’s happening and what to pay attention to.

Refunds Management

This was one of the most requested features and it’s finally here.

You can now process refunds directly from your EasyCommerce dashboard. The system supports transaction ID-based refunds across Stripe, PayPal, Square, Braintree, and Mollie. There’s also a dedicated Refunds page in the admin menu so everything stays organized.

CSV Importer

If you’re migrating from another platform or managing a large catalog, manual product entry is painful. The new CSV Importer lets you import both simple and variable products in bulk. It’s straightforward, and it saves a lot of time.

Smarter Payments

A few improvements landed on the payments side. Stripe handling has been improved with better payment intent management and subscription support. The checkout now auto-detects the user’s location and sets the currency accordingly. Currency symbols and codes also display dynamically throughout the store.

There’s also a direct settings button inside each payment method tab, so you don’t have to hunt for configuration options.

More Theme Support

EasyCommerce now plays nicely with Sydney, Storefront, Neve, Blocksy, GeneratePress, Woostify, and Shopeo. These themes are widely used in the WordPress ecosystem, and we’ve made sure the layout and styling hold up properly across all of them.

Dashboard and UI Improvements

The dashboard has been migrated to React Router v6, which brings cleaner navigation and improved performance. Admin pages are now properly responsive across screen sizes. The admin menu auto-collapses and has been reorganized for easier access. There’s also a new Admin Notices API that handles dynamic notices across all EasyCommerce pages.

Tax and Shipping Improvements

Tax rate calculation has been improved with better region ordering. A new taxable toggle has been added at the product level so you have more granular control. On the shipping side, condition handling and plan ordering are more reliable, and both weight-based and regional shipping calculators have been enhanced.

Other Additions

  • Product SKU Field — SKU support is now available on single products
  • Full-Width Layout Template — A new template option for stores that want wider content display
  • Demo Product Generator — Quickly generate sample products for testing without manual data entry

Bug Fixes

We also cleared out a backlog of bugs, including issues with attribute handling in the product editor, order notes performance, price item state management, payment method layout consistency, coupon table height, and currency dropdown caching.

What’s Next

We’re not slowing down. There are more features in the pipeline that we’re excited to share. We’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, update to v1.20 from your WordPress dashboard. If you run into anything or have feedback, we want to hear it. Reach out to support or drop us a message directly.
